Lately I have been trying lots of Nude and Brown shade lip colors for office. I picked up NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC 02 from Boots. This is a gorgeous nude shade apt for office look or an outing with friends.

Neither lipstick nor lip gloss this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and unlike some matte lipstick formulas also moisturizing.

Review

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream comes in 34 gorgeous shades which makes it difficult to choose one. First of all, it has typical NYX packaging of Matte Black cap and transparent tube showing the color of Lip Cream.

Lip Cream is so light-weight and yet creamy. It does not feel heavy on the lips. In fact you don’t feel it on lips at all. The best part is, it does not dry out lips and comfortable to wear.

SMLC 02 Stockholm is a Beautiful Nude light Brown shade which instantly brightens up the face. It looks beautiful with heavy eye makeup. The color pay-off is really good. It will show-up on pigmented lips as well without concealer underneath.

I love Matte lip Colors. They make the face look intense.  NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream are actually Matte. Not Glossy Matte, not Semi-matte nor Creamy Matte, They are actually Mattest Matte. Just after 2-3 second, the Lip Cream sets to a proper Matte finish.

The smell of the Lip Cream is like chocolate cake. It’s funny but that’s the closest description I can give. The smell is not at all bothersome even for sensitive nose.

Overall, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC 02 is a beautiful, light-weight and pigmented Matte Lip color and a must-have for those who love Nude shades.

I recently bought a Revlon Ultimate ALL-IN-ONE Mascara from Superdrug. Though, I was planning to buy Loreal Paradise Mascara but 3 for 2 scheme on Revlon products compelled me to change my mind. After unpacking, I realised I have bought a Dark brown shade mistakenly. Nevertheless, I used it.

Review

First of all, the packaging is not classy (considering Cosmetic Companies are coming up with new eye-catching metallic glossy packaging). It is simple matte black with red cap.

After using various different Mascaras, I find smaller wands to be efficient in covering all the lashes perfectly without messing. Revlon Ultimate ALL-IN-ONE Mascara comes with a small brush which conveniently reaches all the lashes (even the corner ones). Usually with bigger wands, it’s tough to cover all the lashes without messing.

Revlon claims this Mascara gives Volume, Length, Definition, Lift and Intense Color. Mascara stands true to its claims. It does increase the volume and length. It also defines the lashes and lifts them along with giving intense color. But this mascara forms clumps on the lashes. Many girls do not have a problem with it but I personally prefer a cleaner look. So this is one major flaw I found in the Mascara.

Also note, this mascara is not waterproof. So just be careful before buying this one. I prefer waterproof one.

In a nutshell, I would say this mascara does not have anything which is not there in other good quality mascaras.

Overall I would give this mascara 3/5 stars.
