I got the waterproof variant of Kiko Milano Standout Volume Mascara. Now, how gorgeous is the tube. This comes in a classy metallic tube. Even the shape of the tube is so amazing. I am so impressed with the packaging of the mascara let alone the mascara itself.

It comes with a huge wand which easily separates each lash and adds loads of volume. Texture of the mascara is quite creamy making it easy to cover each lash. It definitely enhances and accentuates the lashes. It makes a huge difference to the lashes by adding volume and curling the lashes.

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour comes in a transparent plastic tube with a black cap. There is nothing fancy about the packaging. Due to transparent tube, its easy to locate the shade in a drawer.

Honestly, this is the best liquid lipstick I have ever used. I cant praise it enough. First of all, I always check how pigmented a lipstick is. I dislike dilute concentration of pigment. MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour is so pigmented that you need a single swipe to fully cover your lips. Staying power is also amazing. After a few seconds, it goes completely matte on lips. After a meal and a few cups of coffee you will notice the lipstick peeling off from inner side of lips.

Both the shades are my favourite. Depending on what I am wearing, I apply both the shades every other day.

Review
This comes in a plastic tube which has same color as that of liquid lipstick which is quite handy. I did not find slanted teardrop shaped applicator to be especially helpful for precise application as they claim. It’s just like any other applicator.

L’Oreal Paris Matte Lip Paint – 201 Hollywood beige

This shade 201 Hollywood beige is quite good for everyday look. It’s a pink coral shade which would go with fair and medium fair skin tones really well. It’s one of those shades which balances out dramatic eye makeup.

I am really disappointed with this L’Oréal product. Nowadays every brand is coming up with matte liquid lipstick almost every day. With such a high competition, Loreal came out with this. First of all. It does not give full coverage. So girls with pigmented lips, stay away from this. Secondly, it’s not transfer proof. Just have a glass of water and lipstick fades. Brands like Maybelline have come up with 24 hr superstay matte lipstick and here we have Loreal which didn’t even manage to have 2 hr stay.

It comes in black plastic tube which looks quite elegant. Firstly, you have to shake the tube really well for intense black color. This is something I learned after regular use. Once dry, it gives a completely matte finish.

I really liked the sponge tip applicator. It makes the application quite smooth and easy. It enables you to have control over the tip hence chances of making mistake are less. But you have to be fast otherwise the tip dries up quickly.

My oily skin doesn’t like heavy oily sunscreens. It makes my face look so oily just after applying. But in the hot sunny weather during summers, sunscreen lotions are unavoidable. To help my skin look a little less oily, I used Bourjois Healthy Balance Compact Powder and oh my god…..I fell in love with it. It instantly mattifies the face without a hint of oil on the face. This shade (53 Light Beige) is a little dark for my complexion but its fine with me.

The product claims of 10 hours matte finish and healthy natural glow.  This compact powder stands true to its claim. Although it doesn’t keep my skin matte for 10 long hours but yes, my face remains matte for 4-5 hours. It does impart a natural glow to my face.

It comes with a mirror which is quite convenient for touch ups.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Compact Powder – 53 Light Beige. It comes with a mirror ....so you can touch up easily anywhere.

I apply this compact powder after sunscreen to mattify my face. I am not too sure about the moisturizing properties of the product which it claims, and I don’t even care about it. After all, I will use a moisturizer rather than a compact for that purpose.

Overall, I love this product and would recommend it to all the oily skin beauties.

My lust for cosmetics led me to get Bourjois Souffle de Velvet liquid lipstick in the shade 03VIPeach. First of all, this is not a lipstick (in contrast to the name), it’s a lipstain. It is actually difficult to figure it out from the tube that it’s a stain. It looks quite dense and thick. I realised it after using it. So, read on to find out more about it.

Let’s start with the packaging. Packaging may not bother some people but for me attractive packing is always a plus point. So this product comes in a plastic transparent tube with cap of the same colour as the lipstick shade. This makes it easier to see the colour of the lipstick. The packaging is okayish – Neither too dull nor too awesome.

03 VIPeach is a peachy pink shade which looks great on fair to medium skin tone. Like I mentioned before, it’s a lip stain. So girls who prefer lipsticks will definitely not like it. It goes completely matte on lips after 10 secs of application. It gives a sheer matte finish.

Bourjois Souffle de Velvet liquid lipstick 03VIPeach

This product will look great on girls with naturally pink lips. It is especially good for ladies who prefer natural/light tinted lips. It can be used for office/formal look as well as for brunch with friends. 

It is hydrating and comfortable on lips which is an important point for me. It has a mild fragrance which disappears after a few seconds.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC 02 Stockholm

Review

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream comes in 34 gorgeous shades which makes it difficult to choose one. First of all, it has typical NYX packaging of Matte Black cap and transparent tube showing the color of Lip Cream.

Lip Cream is so light-weight and yet creamy. It does not feel heavy on the lips. In fact you don’t feel it on lips at all. The best part is, it does not dry out lips and comfortable to wear.

SMLC 02 Stockholm is a Beautiful Nude light Brown shade which instantly brightens up the face. It looks beautiful with heavy eye makeup. The color pay-off is really good. It will show-up on pigmented lips as well without concealer underneath.

I love Matte lip Colors. They make the face look intense.  NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream are actually Matte. Not Glossy Matte, not Semi-matte nor Creamy Matte, They are actually Mattest Matte. Just after 2-3 second, the Lip Cream sets to a proper Matte finish.

The smell of the Lip Cream is like chocolate cake. It’s funny but that’s the closest description I can give. The smell is not at all bothersome even for sensitive nose.
