Review-

My skin becomes dry when weather transitions from winters to summers. Hence, I decided to buy a mild face wash which would not dry out my skin further. I was checking various stores and I came across L'oreal Fine Flowers range and ended up buying a face wash and a toner.

As I have oily and sensitive skin, I prefer gel cleansers over creamy one's. Initially I was sceptical about buying this face wash as its a Gel-Cream wash. But since my skin was dry and dehydrated, I thought this Gel-Cream combination will work on my skin.

This face wash comes in a 150mL tube. It does have a Gel-Cream consistency. It has white milky appearance. Only coin size amount is needed to thoroughly clean the whole face.

Now coming to the efficiency of the face wash. This is a very mild cleanser. It lathers up quickly and thoroughly cleanses the skin. Since it's gentle, it does not dry out skin. Skin feels soft, clean and fresh after using this face wash. Moreover, it didn't react on my face. It removes all the oil and dirt from the face without stripping away the moisture.

One thing which caught my attention is the claim that it does not contain soap and alcohol. Both of these ingredients are harsh and cause dryness. But, on contrary, the ingredients list has Sodium Laureth Sulfate which is soap. So there claim is false.

I would recommend this face cleanser if you are suffering from dry skin condition or if you have sensitive skin. It works really well as a face wash and does not react on skin.

I would give this face wash 4/5 stars.

L'oreal Fine Flowers Toner
Review -

L'oreal Fine flowers toner comes in a big 400mL bottle. The bottle is light pink in colour with a flip-cap. Currently, this range is available at a discounted rate at Tesco.

Although, its a toner but the consistency is thick gel like. Its not transparent and has a milky appearance. Only a small amount is sufficient for the whole face and neck.

One of the prominent feature of this toner is its amazingly wonderful fragrance. Its not overpowering so even the girls with sensitive nose will love it. Fragrance is quite flowery like Jasmine. When applied on face, the smell itself will make you feel fresh and wonderful.

Now coming to the efficiency of the toner - This toner is very gentle and does not dry out the skin like many other toners do. Rather, it moisturises the skin and adds an instant glow to the face. It cleans the skin so well making the face look fresh. Apply a moisturiser afterwards and you can leave your face as it is or go ahead with the make-up. This product claims to remove impurities, invigorates and smooths. L'oreal Fine Flowers toner stands true to its claims. It does removes impurities, invigorates and smooths the skins texture.

I have oily and sensitive skin. This toner did not react on my skin. Therefore, it will suit people with dry, oily and sensitive skin.

Basic aim of any toner is to minimise the pores. L'areal Fine Flowers Toner minimises the pores to an extent but I would not say it controls oiliness. My face does get oily after 2 hours. So, if you are looking for a toner which can control oiliness and mattify your face, this is surely not the one.

Overall, I would say it is a wonderful toner which smoothens skin texture, adds glow and refreshes the face instantly. So, if you are looking for gentle toner, which will make your skin glow day by day, you should try this one.

I would give this toner 4.5/5 stars.

'Hair Wash' - How Often and Type of Shampoo to be Used.

Shampooing is done to wash the hair and clean the scalp from dirt and oil. The important question is how often should it be done? Well there isn't an exact answer to this question because it depends on the type of hair, personal hygiene and lifestyle. People who workout in the gym, live in a hot and humid climate or a polluted region, need to wash hair frequently.

But the Golden Rule for maintaining healthy hair is 'Less Washing'.

Yes, it's true. Lesser you wash your hair, better results you get. Frequent shampooing often strips away natural oils and makes your hair dry and lifeless. Hair's natural oil is important for healthy scalp and hair. Also, daily washing gradually turns into a habit and becomes difficult to overcome. Over washing will gradually result in dry, brittle and weak hair.

Oily Hair

People with oily hair need to wash with a mild shampoo 2 to 3 times a week to remove excessive oil and reduce itchiness. Shampoo should be free of sulphates and conditioning agents.

Dry Hair

Dry hair should be washed once or twice a week using a sulphate free shampoo having moisturising property.

Normal Hair

Normal hair type does not need special care and can be washed when needed using a mild shampoo.

Double Shampoo

Its important to double cleanse your hair. First wash will clean your scalp from sebum, dirt and product build up. Second wash will thoroughly treat the hair.

Dry shampoo

They are also being highly used these days. Some people swear by these. They come in handy when you don't have time to wash your hair. Dry shampoos makes your hair feel and smell fresh by eliminating oiliness.

So it's better to stay away from over washing your hair for healthy and strong hair.
